Animefest 2025 – Talk application

What kind of talks are we looking for?

  • New – They must be prepared specifically for Animefest, we do not accept reruns.
  • Thematic – Focused on Japan or Asian countries and culture, or topics related to fan subcultures. If you can come up with a topic that incorporates this year’s theme (Retro), even better.
  • Specific and interesting – Talks on original topics that dive into specific issues. Please avoid topics that are too broad (e.g., “50 Anime Where I Saw Underwear”) or overly niche (e.g., “Why Bleach Is the Worst Shonen”); save those for another occasion.

What can you expect in return?

  • Access to the festival for the whole weekend.
  • The ability to skip the queue via the performer entrance.
  • Meal vouchers based on the length of your talk.
  • If we are truly intrigued by your topic, additional perks depending on our possibilities.

This form serves as a submission for your talk but does not guarantee its acceptance. You will be informed about the acceptance or rejection of your lecture after the registration deadline (March 9, 2025) and subsequent evaluation.

After submitting the form, you should receive a confirmation email at the address you provided. If it doesn’t arrive within an hour, please try again, as Google may have misplaced your application.

If you have any questions about the talks, feel free to contact us at kalisto@animefest.cz.
If you have a proposal for a show or another type of program that does not meet the talk criteria, you can reach us at hintzu@animefest.cz.

Where would you place your talk?

How would you attract visitors to your talk?

Describe what your talk will be about, where you will draw inspiration from, and the style in which you would like to present it. The more detailed your description, the easier it will be for us to decide on its acceptance.

We’d like to know who we’re welcoming to our team. For example, what do you do in your daily life, what are your interests, or what is your connection to the topic? Do you have any prior experience with public speaking? If you have a recording available, feel free to share it.
